Calcutta, affectionately termed 'City of Joy' and home to an estimated 18 million people.

Countless line the spatial & social margins of not only city but society also, in turn people survive aside railway tracks, slums and makeshift shelters entrenched in the city's very walls and in the process they get lost in the fabric and become invisible.

For these people, the prospect of a form of education and access to healthcare is all but unimaginable if left to the those in the halls of power 'insignificant' as they are.

It is often left to the foreign  NGO's to pick up the slack and provide essential services to those that need them most.
