Simon is an independent award winning documentary photographer & filmmaker specialising in character driven documentaries. Thematically related around human interest & social injustice, his work seeks to demonstrate & humanize potentially abstract & distant issues surrounding global inequity through the universal power of character & story.
Living and Working internationally since 2002 across South & North Asia, South-East Asia, Africa, Australia & North America, Simon has accumulated vast real world experience of international working conditions and practices, particularly in developing nations. Simon’s experience in the field is academically informed by a BSc (First Class Honours) in Social Science from the Open University and an MSc in Science, Technology & International Development from the University of Edinburgh which bring to his work a deep critical understanding of political and social thought, as well as development issues, practices and processes.
